Sharon Thieman is a gifted artist who explores the harmony of shades and the interaction of lines and geometrical shapes through her various Temari Balls. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Sharon has known herself as an artist since the age of four. Her family often remarked on her talents and inquisitiveness as it related to art. Rearrangement of her bedroom, family areas, and even shelves at the local grocery store, became part of her norm.
She believes her transition into the world of Art came only after her venture into several other endeavors and occupations, all while searching to fulfill her passion and find her destiny. In hindsight, Sharon fondly remembers how "art" and "creativity" were always part of her psyche, discreetly tucked away and surfacing in moments of both despair and enlightenment. Ultimately, she realized that no occupation or endeavor would serve her, only Art would complete her. For it is Sharon's passion, her purpose.
With encouragement of her spouse and parents, she pursued and graduated with distinction from the College of Creative Studies, in Detroit, Michigan. The comprehensive education she received there serves as a basis and guarantee of her professional maturity and creativity. As a painter for the first fifteen years of her career, Sharon refined her skill in design and drawing, while developing her intuitive sense of color.
